Shadow Woman

I come from the depths of your being,

Dark Goddess, mistreated Goddess,

I go by many names, some call me Kali, some call me Mab,

I writhe around on the forest floor,

I take on your pain,

I take on your anger,

And I take all the blame,

I am a deep sexual being,

But I am so much more,

Just by my presence I am both curse and blessing,

Do I frighten you,

Do I turn you on,

Does my mask of death and rebirth send your head spinning,

I walk these modern streets and it in your civilized dwellings,

And I provoke you,

You draw me near, you push me away,

Yet you cannot shake me,

I am a part of you, a part of creation,

I am caked with mucd blood and sweat,

But I clean up nice don’t i?

I swell up to give birth,

And I run barren in childless through the recesses of your existence,

You despise me for exciting you,

YOu love me, you have no choice,

Tpo despise me is to despise yourself,

I lurk inside of you,

And I lay down,

In my “sin” I want to heal you,

I want to erase all shame,

I am the wound you never admit,

I am Eve cast from the garden,

I wanted more, to know more, to taste more,

And in your fear, as you think you are pushing me down,

You only make me stronger,

I am black, and cold, and harsh on the outside,

And pink and fragrant and made of compassion on the inside,

It is inside you fear,

Vulnerability is my greatest weapon,

I am the winningness to love, to play, to get dirty,

I exist in forever,

And no matter how many angry sex acts, and rejection dramas you act out,

I am back again to taunt you,

The maiden, the mother, and the crone,

All inside you, Love all of you, love all of me,

I am the piece missing from your religion,

I am sacred sacrament,

The power of creation, the power of the void, the eternal womb,

And I will never leave you,

I lay across the altar of your humanity, and I am the gateway to your divinity,

I ask you, put your hand into my chest,

Take my heart out, and eat of it,

Absorb my deep love for you,

The shadow and the light,

I am your salvation, disguised as your greatest downfall,

I wond you, and set you free at the same time,

I am your shadow,

To some I am repulsive,

To deny me is to deny yourself,

I am your shadow, your Dark Goddess, your sacred sexuality, your connection to the Divine,

I am the key to your knowledge of self,

Do no forsake me, it is impossible,

I am in all of you
